about hello heart

Welcome to Hello Heart Creative Studio!
At Hello HeArt, the name embodies our mission: creating joyful art and nurturing happy hearts, all while building a foundation for lifelong happiness.
Our studio is dedicated to giving the children in our community a chance to explore and enjoy meaningful, developmentally appropriate visual art experiences that nurture both creativity and social-emotional growth.
Children have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of high-quality mediums, such as paint, clay, collage, watercolors, and sculpture. Our young artists are free to fully immerse themselves in our creative space as they learn, grow, and build confidence, empathy, and resilience along the way.
We also take pride in offering unique classes for older children and workshops for adults.
From toddlers to adults, everyone will delight in our magical space where experimenting is encouraged, and joy is abundant.
We can't wait to welcome you to one of our classes at Hello Heart Creative Studio—come join us, and let’s create something truly magical together!

Eileen Kim- Founder & Director
Eileen is the founder of Hello Heart Creative Studio, an art educator,
registered art therapist, and mother of two beautiful daughters.
She believes that art is a medium that allows us to safely express ourselves
and discover our inner selves.
She has been an art educator and art therapist for over 10 years,
focusing on the process of creating rather than just the final product.
Inspired by Reggio Emilia philosophy, play-based learning, and art therapy,
Eileen has developed a distinctive approach to art education and
is recognized as a leading figure in the field.
She believes that fostering creativity, critical thinking skills,
creative problem-solving skills, and building strong social-emotional skills in children are essential, especially as we move toward an increasingly AI-driven world. She has found that art and books are powerful tools in this process. Recognizing the need for joyful art experiences, she founded Hello Heart.
She received her Bachelor's degree in Studio Art from USC and
earned a Master’s in Art Therapy Counseling from Hofstra University,
becoming a Registered Art Therapist in California (ATR).
She is a supervisor for students studying Art and Child and Adolescent Development at California State University, Fullerton.
Additionally, she has written for New York magazines in the art education field
and shared her expertise through interviews in magazines and on the radio.
our dream team
Our team is a committed and inspiring group of local teaching professionals and artists.
